SMS & Text Messaging Policy

PT Liftology is a cash-pay physical therapy clinic with locations in Cedar Park and Leander, TX, operated by Dr. Dan Cole, DPT. This policy covers all SMS and MMS text messages sent from PT Liftology to patients, prospective patients, and course participants.

2. How We Collect Your Number

We collect your mobile phone number only when you voluntarily provide it through one of the following:

• Booking an appointment or free phone consult through our website or Jane App
• Submitting a contact or inquiry form on ptliftology.com
• Registering for a CEU continuing-education course
• Texting us directly at (512) 653-0210
• Providing your number verbally or in writing during a clinic visit

By providing your mobile number through any of these channels, you consent to receive text messages from PT Liftology related to your care, appointment, or inquiry.

3. Types of Messages We Send

PT Liftology may send the following types of text messages:

• Appointment reminders — Confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates for your PT sessions
• Appointment follow-ups — Post-visit check-ins and home exercise program reminders
• Scheduling communications — Rescheduling requests, cancellation notices, or waitlist updates
• Course information — CEU course registration confirmations, logistics, and updates
• Responses to your inquiries — Replies when you text us first
• Occasional clinic updates — New service announcements or schedule changes (only if you have opted in)

We do not send bulk promotional text blasts. Message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule and any active inquiries.

4. Your Consent

By providing your mobile phone number to PT Liftology, you expressly consent to receive text messages at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. You may receive care from PT Liftology without consenting to text messaging.

If you provide your number through a web form, the form will include a disclosure that your number may be used for SMS communication. You may opt out at any time (see Section 6 below).

5. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. PT Liftology does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may. Contact your carrier for details about your plan's messaging rates.

6. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages from PT Liftology at any time using any of the following methods:

Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to receive care at PT Liftology or to receive communications by other means (phone call, email).

8. Privacy & How We Use Your Data

Your mobile phone number is used solely to communicate with you about your care, appointments, and inquiries at PT Liftology.

• We do not sell your phone number to any third party
• We do not share your number with marketers or data brokers
• Your number may be stored in our practice management system (Jane App) and our CRM (HubSpot) for scheduling and follow-up purposes
• All systems used by PT Liftology are HIPAA-compliant where applicable
• We retain your contact information for as long as you are an active patient or have an open inquiry, and as required by applicable law

9. Changes to This Policy

PT Liftology may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our text messaging program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
